Carol Fehling

1954 – 2012

 

Armstrong resident, Anita Carol Fehling passed away at her home January 12, 2012.  She was 57 years of age.

Mrs. Fehling was born September 20, 1954 in Fayette, MO to Lewis Nelson and Vernita Ruth (Woods) Thompson.  She received her nursing degree in 1988 and had worked at the Fayette Caring Center and Moberly Correction Medical Systems.  She enjoyed baking and being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her husband, John C. Fehling of Armstrong; her mother, Ruth Thompson of Armstrong; three sons, Jeff (Cassi) Thompson of Glasgow, Brian (Dana) and Eric Fehling, all of Fayette; one daughter, Jennifer (Aaron) Bean of Armstrong; one step daughter,  Shellee Kilbride of Fernley, NV, eleven grandchildren, Kyle, Caleb and Dylan Thompson, Shawn and Tyler Barnhill, Jacob and Kaitlyn Bean, John Easton Fehling, CJ, Jaycee and Jayke Kilbride, four sisters, Marilyn Vroman of Armstrong, Debbie Conrow of Fayette, Ruthie Barney of Fayette and Amy Dale of Armstrong; three brothers, David Thompson of Fayette, Paul Thompson of Moberly and Michael Thompson of Armstrong.  Besides her father, she was preceded in death by one sister Martha John, one grandson Jeffrey Thompson, Jr.

Funeral services for Mrs. Fehling were held 1 PM, Monday, January 16, 2012 at Freimonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette with Rev. Harold Young officiating.  Burial was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery near Armstrong.  Visitation was 5 to 7 PM on Sunday evening at the funeral home.
