Cleo L. Isle

1918 – 2011

Longtime Gilliam resident, Cleo Isle, passed away at the Living Center in Marshall, Monday, May 16, 2011.  She was 93.

Cleo Lycille Isle was born in Parsons, KS on March 14, 1918 to William and Edna Marie (Schilb) Atkinson.  Cleo married John Wesley Isle in Boonville, MO on April 20, 1946.  He preceded her in death July 28, 1972.  Cleo has lived in Gilliam since 1959.  She was a member of the Gilliam Baptist Church and had a special love for flowers. 

 Cleo is survived by two daughters, Pat (Richard) Jolliff of Marshall, MO, Marilyn (Domenick) Rubbo of Staten Island, NY, two sons, Johnny and Wesley Isle of Gilliam, 4 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.  Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Atkinson and one grandson, Jerry Jolliff.

 A graveside service will be 11 AM, Saturday, May 21, 2011 at Gilliam City Cemetery with Rev. Chris Weber officiating. Visitation will be one hour before the service at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow.  Tom and Nathan Atkinson, Kevin and David Jolliff, and Domenick and John Nicholas Rubbo served as pallbearers.
