Fayette resident, Debra Kay Espenschied died suddenly November 9, 2011 at her home. She was 56 years of age. Mrs. Espenschied was born February 2, 1955 in Joliet, IL to Charles and Julie Anne (Mappin) Simmons. She was a 1972 graduate of Bushnell High School in Illinois. Debra attended cosmetology schools in Illinois and Moberly, Missouri. She later received training to become a certified nurse’s aide. She worked over 12 years at Fayette Elementary School and had worked at the Braun Home, Fayette Caring Center and just recently at the Marshall Rehabilitation Center. Survivors include two daughters, Jaci (Danny) Lobina of Moberly and Megan (Marshall) Dougherty of Higbee, two sons, Cory (Vandy) Smith of Columbia and Jessie Espenschied of Fayette, six grandchildren, Izak, Teagyn, Brooke, Amelia, Spencer and Ashtonn, one brother, Jerry Simmons of Kansas. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Connie and one brother, Kenny. A visitation will be held 2 to 4 PM, Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Fayette, MO. A private service for the family will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Debra Espenschied Memorial Fund in care of Exchange Bank, 101 S. Church, Fayette, MO 65248.
