| Jacqueline Monique Craig, the daughter
of Lorenza Lonzo Craig Jr. and Marva Jo McDonald Craig, went to
her eternal home on June 17, 2011 at Harry S. Truman Memorial
Veterans Hospital in Columbia, MO.
Jacqueline was born February 7, 1971, in Columbia, MO.
Jacqueline was the oldest of three children.
She joined St. Paul Free Will Baptist Church at a very young
age. Jacqueline lived in Slater, Missouri for 18 years
where she attended elementary, junior high and graduated with
honors from Slater High School in 1989. She moved to
Marshall, MO where she attended Missouri Valley College.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1994.
After graduating from College, she moved to Columbia and worked
for Head Start as a teacher's assistant for several years before
taking a job with the University of Missouri as an
administrative assistant. During her 12 years with the
University, Jacqueline held several positions. Her last
job was a web designer / computer programmer. While living
in Columbia, Jacqueline became a member of Second Missionary
Baptist Church. Jacqueline joined the Army Reserves in
2006 and served until her illness took over. She always
wanted to help other people and that was one of the reasons she
joined the Army Reserve to help in any capacity.
Jacqueline had a special gift. She was a very good
artist and designer and attended every event that was related to
art. She also spent a lot of time working out at the gym
on the University Campus and reading poetry. Jacqueline
spent a lot of her spare time with her family and loved them
very much.
Jacqueline leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Marva
and father Lorenza (Boone); one brother, Lorenza Craig III
(Melissa) of Pennsylvania; and one sister, Danita Craig of
Marshall, MO and a host of family members and loved ones.
There will be a memorial service 11 AM, Saturday, June 25,
2011 at the St. Paul Free Will Baptist Church in Slater, MO with
Revs. Wayne Tooley and Don White officiating. Burial will
follow the service at Mount Moriah Cemetery in Slater.
