Mike Holtwick
1955 – 2011
Glasgow businessman, Michael Edwin Holtwick, 56, passed away
at his home May 3, 2011 after a battle with cancer. He was
born February 2, 1955 in
Alexandria, VA to James Frederick and Jane (Youree)
Holtwick. Mike graduated from
Glasgow High School in 1973. Mike started working in
the plumbing and electrical business when he was 14. He had
worked in Columbia before going to work in the family
business. Holtwick Plumbing was in business for 43 years in
Glasgow.
Mike is survived by his mother, Jane Holtwick of Glasgow,
longtime beloved
companion, Rose Lackland of Glasgow, two sons, Scott (Emy)
Holtwick of
Garden City, MO and Cory (Kimberly) Holtwick of
Louisville, KY, three brothers, Jim and Jeff of
Glasgow and David (Nancy) of Fayette, one aunt and
three uncles and four grandchildren, Gage, Jadynne, Brynne
and Ava Ann Holtwick. He is also survived by a number of
nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mike was preceded in
death by his father, Jim.
A memorial service will be at 11am, Friday, May 6, 2011 at
Friemonth-Freese
Funeral Chapel
in Glasgow, with Fr. Joseph Shetler officiating. Visitation
will be one hour before the service.
