| . Joyce Monnig 1944 - 2011 Mary Joyce Monnig, 66, formerly of Glasgow, died February 19, 2011 at Sweet Springs Villa. She was born November 3, 1944 in Chariton County, MO, the daughter of the late Meta Kallmeyer and Virgil L. Monnig. Known as Joyce, she attended Immaculate Conception grade school at Aholt and graduated from St. Joseph High School in Salisbury. For a time she was a clerical employee at the University of Missouri. She also had worked in Kansas City for a few years. She is survived by four sisters: Dorothy Hubbard of Glasgow; Janie Moberly of Bartlesville, OK; Betty Yaeger of Brookfield, MO; and Marsha Cravens of Omaha, NE. A funeral mass was held at 11 AM, Thursday, February 24, 2011 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Glasgow with Father Joseph Shetler officiating. Visitation was one hour before the service and burial was in Washington Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to St. Mary’s School or Church in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service.
