Nellie Monnig

1952 - 2011

 Nellie Christine Monnig died Friday, July 29, 2011, after an extended illness.  She was 59.

 Born January 12, 1952, in Dalton, Missouri, she was the daughter of Ellington N. and Christeen Vossler Alverson.  She attended St. Joseph’s Catholic High School in Salisbury, Missouri.  Nellie was a 20-year veteran of service with International Paper.  She was a caring mother, doting grandmother, and wonderful friend.  Nellie enjoyed spending time with friends and family, gardening, and fishing.

 Nellie is survived by her son Darrin and wife Paula Tebbe of Fayetteville, Georgia, grandson Connor Tebbe also of Fayetteville, Georgia, sisters Helen Young of Glasgow, Martha Alverson of Kansas City, and many beloved friends.

 She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Uncle Thomas Vossler, Aunt Agness Vossler, and brother Neil Alverson.

 A life celebration was held in her honor from 3 to 5pm Sunday, July 31st, at Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home in Glasgow.

 In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the The Fayette Optimist Club’s kids fishing program or Cat Rescue in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Home, 112 Market St., Glasgow, Missouri 65254.
