| . Richard McCleery Former Armstrong resident, Richard Leroy McCleery passed away January 1, 2012 at Brunswick Nursing Home. He was 75 years of age. Mr. McCleery was born August 15, 1936 in Barry, IL to Robert Lincoln and Anna Mary (Sparrow) McCleery. He married Mary Barbara Allison October 30th, 1959 in Quincy, IL and she preceded him in death December 28, 2008. The family moved to Howard County in 1967, first to the Steinmetz area, then in later years to Roanoke. Mr. McCleery had worked at different factory jobs threw out his life. He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He is survived by his son, James and his wife Rhonda McCleery of Maryville, MO and a number of nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one daughter, Elizabeth Ann McCleery, four brothers and five sisters. Graveside services will be 1 PM, Friday, January 6, 2012 at Sharon Cemetery on Rt. U, near Armstrong with Rev. Harold Young officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Sharon Cemetery in care of Friemonth-Freese Funeral Service, 112 Market St. Glasgow, MO 65254.
