Shirley Watts

1935 - 2011

Fayette resident Shirley Lee Watts passed away at Fayette Caring Center June 5, 2011. She was 76 year of age.

Mrs. Watts was born January 5, 1935 in Fayette to Orville and Kathleen (Roberts) Hawkins. She graduated from Fayette High School in 1952 and attended Central Methodist College. She married Raymond (Reece) Watts September 23, 1954 at the First Christian Church. Mrs. Watts worked as a pharmacist clerk at Street’s Drug Store for over 20 years and also worked at City Hall as a administrative assistant for a number of years. She was a member of the Fayette First Christian Church.

Mrs. Watts is survived by her husband of the home, one daughter, Lori Watts of Waco, TX and one son, Steve Watts of New York, NY, and a sister, Judith Burge of Sikeston, MO. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Reece Watts.

A grave side service will be 11 AM, Thursday, June 9, 2011 at the Fayette City Cemetery with Rev. Paula Ritchie officiating.
