Mr. Haskamp was born February 10, 1944 in Aholt, MO to Henry J. and Frances Anna Hackman Haskamp.  He was a graduate of Glasgow High School class of 1962.  He married Linda Lou Vernold May 1, 1965 at Marion Hill Catholic Church.  She preceded him in death July 8, 1998.  Tom worked as a meat cutter and later as a maintenance worker for the Missouri Dept. of Transportation.  He served in the National Guard.  Tom loved to dance.  He could be found any Saturday night dancing to a country beat.  He loved the outdoors, whether it was fishing, turkey hunting or coon hunting.  His love for nature showed each year in his plentiful garden and helping his son Brian in the fields.  Tom was known as the “Honorary” Mayor of Hilltop on Highway 40.  He cherished his family most of all, especially his granddaughters.  His immense love showed as he took them four wheeler riding and spent countless hours spoiling them.

He is survived by two sons, Brian Haskamp and friend Carla Whitney of New
Franklin and Tommy and wife Mary Haskamp of Ashland, one daughter, Kimberly and husband Jim Benner of New Franklin, special friend, Holly Mackley, three granddaughters, Annie Benner, Abigail Haskamp and Nicole Benner, five brothers, Melvin, Jim, Bob and Norman Haskamp all of Glasgow and Leon Haskamp of Smithville.  Besides his parents and wife he was preceded in death by one brother, Henry Haskamp, Jr. and one sister, Leanna Johnson.
