Juanita Miller

1923 - 2011

Fayette resident, Velda Juanita Miller died at her home February 24, 2011. She was 87 years of age.

Mrs. Miller was born June 13, 1923 in Chariton County, north of Glasgow, the daughter of Amos and Goldie Moyer Harmon. She attended school at Gold Dust and Glasgow Schools. Juanita married Woodrow "Buddy" Miller August 12, 1939. Mr. Miller was a conductor and brakeman on the MKT Railroad. He preceded her in death September 27, 1996. After Buddy’s death Juanita enjoyed working at Endless Options for nine years, where she was affectionately known to the workers as, "Millie".

She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Winningham of Fayette, one son, Ron and wife Karen Miller of Cherry Log, GA, four grandchildren, Donny and Bernadette Winningham, Tammy and Bruce Arnall, Amy Gray and Chris Miller, six great grandchildren, Brittney and Travis Arnall, Taylor Winningham, Gabe,  Jake and Clair Gray. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister and three brothers.

Funeral services were 1 PM, Monday, February 28, 2011 at the Friemonth-Freese Chapel in Fayette with Rev. Harold Young officiating. Visitation was two hours before the service and burial was in the Fayette City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Endless Options in care of the funeral home.
